Veo Team Colors and 2D Radar improvements
What is Team Colors?
You can now set a default color for your team (and the opponent), and see those colors reflected in the Veo Editor. This will make it much easier for coaches, scouts, players, and parents to identify relevant content in the video and in other Editor features.
Once set, the color will be displayed in the Match Setup, Match Summary, 2D Radar and Scoreboard.
2D Radar & Scoreboard (Football Analytics customers only)
Your chosen team colors will be represented in the 2D radar and scoreboard. Additionally, you may now change the opponent shape on the radar to a triangle, for easier differentiation.
2D Radar: Tactical overlays
To help coaches teach the importance of positions and spacing, we’ve added several tactical zone overlays to the 2D Radar settings menu:
The options are: Thirds, 3 lanes, phases, quarters, 5 lanes, 18 zones and advanced. If you think we’ve missed one, please request it via ideas.veo.co.
2D Radar: Connect players
To help coaches teach the importance of maintaining a particular shape and position, we’ve built a ‘connect players’ feature into the radar. Select the tool from under the radar then click a player in the radar to start connecting them. Connect as many as you like and simply click anywhere on the video once done - they will stay connected as the action continues.
Spotlight enhancements (Analytics+Spotlight customers)
We’ve improved how the 2D radar reacts when you click a player to watch their moments, making it easier to understand their position in the game. We’ve also refined the way shirt numbers are displayed in the radar.
Match Setup and Match Summary (all sports and plans)
The colors will be represented in the Match Summary. You can also change the colors just for a specific recording in Match Setup.
