Coach Assist Chat is now available!

Conversational AI Your Veo match data

Veo Analytics football customers will now see a new feature in the Editor: Coach Assist Chat. To start chatting, click the zap icon:

What is Coach Assist?

Coach Assist is powered by a combination of Veo AI and third party AI models like Chat GPT. It's designed to act as your coaching and analysis assistant. Try asking Coach Assist about:

• The match data available in your Veo library.

• Training methods and performance feedback.

• Communication and leadership skills.

• Motivation and team culture.

• Game strategy and player development.

• Managing conflict and building trust.

Just beginning your video analysis or not sure where to start? Try writing ‘I'm new to video analysis - give me a 30 minute workflow I can follow’.

Got a rematch against a tricky opponent coming up? ‘Analyze our last performance against Rage FC and suggest 3 things we should do next time we play against them.’

Struggling with player management/communication? ‘I need to bench a player, but I don’t want to demoralize them - help me out.’

It's like having an expert available 24/7 who can help you think through problems, brainstorm ideas, or just satisfy your curiosity. Uncover some great insight? Copy+Paste it into the Match Journal to keep it safe.

Coach Assist is currently in testing, and is included in your Analytics plan for free. Use the thumbs up/thumbs down on the responses to let us know how it’s doing. All feedback is shared with the product team to help us improve the experience.

Coach Assist is also available in the Analytic Studio for Analytics customers:

Good match data, good suggestions

The responses you receive are based on the match data you send. At the very least, you should:

• Make sure the sides and periods are correct.

• Make sure key events are correct.

• Make sure the final score is correct.

You’ll also find that inputting the correct match tactics and creating consistent short notes in the Journal greatly improve the quality of your Coach Assist interactions.

Visibilty & Personalisation

In the ‘Team Settings’ page you can choose to disable Coach Assist, which will hide it on videos assigned to that particular team.

On the chat window, you can tailor Coach Assist to your coaching level and style:

What will it look like in the future?

Here are some questions we are asking ourselves:

• How can we make it so that suggested training content is reliable and actionable, week after week?

• How can we make it so that Coach Assist learns and adapts as teams change over time?

• How can we make it easier for coaches to make sure their match data is in good shape?

And in general, being curious about how we might best integrate developing technologies with our sports platform in a way that truly adds value to your day.
